Clancy Corp Electricians Fit Out
Super fast turn around for Local Builder
When Shipway Constructions contacted Clancy Corporation for an electrician to fit out a new tiny home, electrician Todd and apprentice electrician Brett were only too glad to assist.
'These kinds of jobs are really fun because you are wiring the power and lighting for a whole home’ explained Todd.'
The tiny home in question is a two bedroom granny flat at the rear of an investment property purchased last year.
Once the builders had the roof on, walls up and prior to sheeting with plasterboard, Clancy Corp electricians Todd and Brett ran all the cabling required for power switches, lights and fixed power, such as the hob and stove, to each room.
Shipway Constructions director Anthony Shipway said
‘We called the Clancy Corporation team on a Monday to commence work on Wednesday and they had the initial wiring work completed by Friday’
Shipway Gyproc installers then made a small hole in their sheets for the wiring and pulled the non-live wires through ready for Todd and Brett to fit everything off.
As Todd and Brett installed all of the power and the appliances too, it created a rather impressive checklist.

‘There is an increasing trend for maximising land-use and these granny flats are very popular as they include all the creature comforts in a smaller footprint.’
Power for the granny flat is fed from the main switchboard on the home at the front of the property. Todd and Brett installed a surface mount sub-board to handle the safety switches in a convenient location near the front door.
Independent metering for each dwelling is done on the main switchboard which allows the landlord to manage the power bill by checking the meters for the correct split of power bill between tenants in the home at the front of the property and tenants in the granny flat at the rear.
If you are building a new home call Clancy Corporation for a trouble-free and cost effective fit-off, we are glad to be of service!
